'Fun' Raising
Don't forget the annual Pie Auction and the Silent Auction. Bring your appetite & bring your wallet to benefit the Illinois Press Foundation missions.
Dear Dave,

If you've not yet registered for the Spring Convention, please do so today. The convention starts next week and promises to be the biggest, best such event in recent IPA/IPF history.

We give a great deal of thanks to the Advertising and Editorial Convention Committees who planned this year's programs together and to the boards of directors of both the Illinois Press Association and the Illinois Press Foundation for their financial commitment to ensuring a successful convention. Thank you, also, to the IPA staff for their great teamwork and attention to every detail of the contests and convention.

If you have any questions about the convention, please feel free to contact our staff any time. We look forward to seeing everyone in April!

Sincerely,
Dennis DeRossett,
Executive Director

3 reasons to attend this convention
There are dozens of reasons why this convention makes good sense for every newspaper in Illinois, but for a moment, please consider these three.

1. This convention will provide professional education not available anywhere else. Our conventions are tailored to our members and their needs, so you're not going to find the same mix elsewhere.

2. This convention provides a unique networking opportunity not available anywhere else. Where else can you go to talk to people from every corner of the state who are facing the same issues that you face in your business and yet are not your competitors? IPA conventions are a great place to build relationships that can be personally and professionally rewarding.

3. This convention will pay for itself. Just one good idea can lead to new business, new revenue and a lasting boost to your newspaper's bottom line. And you're likely to walk away with dozens of great ideas.

If you need help registering, please call our office today at 217-241-1300. Or contact Kim Ruff at kruff@illinoispress.org.
